Compline, or night prayer
Compline is a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day.
There is now a recorded service of compline available, and the order of service can be downloaded or viewed online if you wish to join in with the prayers and responses, or prefer just to use the service on your own.
Palm Sunday - 5th April
Our recorded service for Palm Sunday is in three parts:
The first part leads up to the Passion Gospel.
The Passion Gospel Reading, recorded separately as it is rather long. You may prefer to read it by yourself - Matthew 26:14 – 27:end.
The concluding part of the service.
The service sheet can be downloaded or viewed online if you would like to join in.
If you would like to make your own palm cross ready for the service, you can find instructions here. You can also watch a video of Rev Frank Gimson making one using these instructions.

Previous services still available online:
The gospel reading for this service has been recorded separately, and the order of service

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - 25th March 2020
Yesterday all the clergy in the Church of England received a letter from the Archbishops confirming the new Government guidelines and instructing us that all churches were to be closed. They say ‘Our church buildings must now be closed not only for public worship, but for private prayer as well and this includes the priest or lay person offering prayer in church on their own’.
Although we can no longer have our building open, even so as the Church our prayer and service for our community continues across the village. We will continue praying for everyone and providing as much support as we can during these difficult times, and will look for practical ways to do this.
Also while I may be unable to visit in person, I am still available to provide pastoral support, or even just to have a chat. You can contact me on 01725 510326 or
I am also sharing Bible passages and some thoughts on a regular basis which can be found on our Daily Reflections page, or sent by email if you prefer, and I will be recording occasional services which will be available to watch through our website.
We will resume our normal service pattern as soon as we can (10am every Sunday, 8am 1st and 3rd Sundays).
God bless,
Revd. Frank Gimson (Vicar)
Please remember The Trussell Trust at this time. They need your donations more than ever, as demand is likely to increase.
