Children in Church
Children are always welcome at services.
Church for Everyone - our cafe-style service on the 3rd Sunday of each month - is of special interest to families. It takes place at the back of church and starts with refreshments at 9.45am. It is a shorter, more informal, non-communion service. There is usually a theme, with activities for both the children and older members of the congregation.
For younger children we have a ‘children and parent’ corner where there are toys and quiet activities. Please feel free to walk around the Church with your baby or toddler if they become restless. If you both need ‘time out’ do not worry about going into the porch or walking around outside for a while. There are also basic bathroom facilities next to the church rooms that are available throughout the service - although building work is happening now to create a toilet and meeting room at the back of church!
We meet in the room at the back of church at 10.00 am every Sunday (except the 3rd Sunday of each month) during school term time. We welcome children from pre-school age until they leave Primary School.
The mornings are taken up with Bible stories, singing songs, making things and generally having fun! Later we go into church for a blessing or communion. The service usually finishes around 11.15 am. We then enjoy drinks and biscuits with the main congregation.
On the 3rd Sunday of each month all Sunday School members are encouraged to bring their parents along to Church for Everyone - our cafe-style service held at the back of church.
